You can do that with a custom livery. I made a RE Amemiya Kit with it for my rx7 fd

The mileage should be zeroed once you swap the engine as well

The worst problem is that a lot of the Pandem kits looks exactly the same on different cars, which is pretty boring.

I don't think that would be a good idea since it would render a lot of cars obsolete

Did you hack the game? I used to play with a hacked savefile，and I couldn't sell any item until I wiped my savefile and restarted.
